Has anybody purchased a Kipor like the Honda EU3000. They're about 1/2 the cost but what about quality. Honda is proven and I hear Kipor has been around in Europe for a while. Any help will be appreciated.

The Kipors get pretty good reviews on the RV forums. I am buying a new genny in the next month for use at the races. I am probably going to bite the bullet and buy the 3000 watt Yamaha invertor. Its a lot of $$$ but its will last forever and I know that I'll always be able to buy parts for it. Go here and do some searching on the Kipors

Thanks chillin,
I might just go ahead and buy a kipor for the time being. I'm leary because for 600 bucks more I can get a Honda eu3000. I probably should just splurge man and buy the Honda and be done with it. I'll kick my own a$$ I'm sure if I don't buy the Honda. I'll let you know.

I sell the Honda's, but the Kipor is right up there. #1 thing is service when it fails, just be sure you have a servicing dealer that isnt going out of business any time soon. The Honda does NOT come with a wheel kit, the yamaha does, prices are nearly the same I beleive. More Honda dealers than yamaha dealers though.

I just picked up my new Yamaha 3000 inverter w/boost. It is SWEET. Runs my AC easily and you cant hear the genny over the sound of the AC. It was a pricey SOB but I plan to get a LOT of use out of it.

I bought the Yamaha 2400 Inverter earlier this week. I borrowed a friend's last weekend and used it at scrub. It powered my a/c and tv with no problems all weekend. No problems whatsoever. I didn't think the 2400 could do it but my toy hauler is an 04 and they told me the new a/c's work with less surge.
