well, that is the true reason the rangers are so strict with riding double at croom, because most people dont know how to properly ride double and be safe about it, and maybe next time they wont ride double

hopefully they are both ok and didnt get hurt too bad

Classless response even if you added the smileys. I ride with my little girl on my quad all the time, she rides up front & I take extra care & she too wears a helmet, even though it nearly dislocates my jaw on some occasions. The fault here lies with the mom for attempting something out of her ability, or just possibly driving carelessly, not just because of riding double.  When my girl is too big to ride up front, she will have her own & ride by herself.  I hope they are ok & learn to give more respect to the hobby they chose. Hopefully they dont blame the quad & drop the sport, which is what every treehugger would love to see.

I did a ride out there w/my son, cuz his 90 wont make it.  Have a backseat, but you got to be really careful out there.  I kept getting stuck bcz being so careful w/him on, trust me I have learned the hard way what that sudden stop will do.  We've been riding for years, and you always have to expect the unexpected.  I also don't think I will take him out there again though, until he is ready for a bigger ride.  Was not a fun ride getting stuck every 200 feet or so.  My prayers really go out to that family.  I love to ride, but when I hear stories like that breaks my heart.
As for doubles, yes it is true, seen alot of people drive like mad w/2 people & too me, thats just crazy.  But if you take a nice little trail ride and proceed w/extreme caution, I feel that it is okay.  My prayers are w/that family......
