I was wondering if every member would send $1 dollar to ATVFLORIDA.COM we could do somthing special for the kids during the hollidays. We could separate into regions and each region do somthing speacial for the kids or for a needy family. It just might give us some more good poblicity and the state might say "Man these guys really deserve a place to ride" in addition to that we can also piont out the importance of the quality time that we spend with our family and freinds during our group rides.It doesnt have to be a dollar either it can be from a penny  on up.

I'm sorry is if this rubs people the wrong way but its hard to notive that over 120 poeple have sen this and there are only 4 replies. That is just my opinion. Does anyone care about where we could be if we god forbid lost our jobs tommarrow. 50% of us are just 3  paychecks short to being homeless. And would we like to have someone like ATV florida there to help us out !!!!

I think it's a great idea to get small donations to help those in need, and I believe it would bring good attention to members of this site. I think (only a guess based on experience) people are reluctant to chip in because many do this sort of thing on their own already. I know that I do. The problem I have giving to collections or donations is that (not in this case) many needy people only get a portion of the money since they pay the collectors. And then there's a question of who decides what family or individual gets the money? I will definitely contribute a buck with hopes that someone that really needs it gets it, and that it helps them. My only recommendation is to put someone in charge of either finding or identifying a needy cause prior to arranging a collection.

Another thought along the same lines... I have three kids, when ever they outgrow something whether it be clothes, toys, car seats, strollers, etc., we look for a family that needs what we have instead of selling it or throwing it away. Maybe we could also organize a donation of goods for mothers/children in need. there are many good organizations in place that would love some help like the spring for abused women. I am sure that we could all clean out our garages or kid's rooms and find tons of stuff that is  no longer used or needed that would greatly benefit an organization like the spring. And it would help get rid of stuff we no longer use ourselves. And again there is the potential of good publicity for the site.

Cain thank you for the idea. I know that my five year old grows a mile a minute. I am affraid that although i started this I just don't have the expeirence to maintain it. About who gets the help it can be anyone expecially someone from the site that expierences some life disaster(god forbidding). Another idea is that we could also vote on the charities that will get some help for example an orphange. I hope someone will step up and help with this thread as to where the $ goes on who will keep it.
