On Saturday 1/29/05 there will be a clean up effort at the Humps. We are asking that all ATV enthusiasts come out and join us.  This is for our own good since there are not many places left for us to enjoy our sport.  So lets all get together and do this!!
We are asking that those interested in lending out a hand be there around 9 am.

2-12-05. We need some time to do this right. The trash aint going nowhere

We will be out there this Saturday.  We have already contacted the news, radio stations, as well as the FWC and everyone has been told.  We don't mind going on 2-12-05 again, but we're going this Saturday as well.  To all who can make it, great.  To those who can't, we'll see you on 2-12-05

Dumpsters would be the best thing. That place is full of trash and will take many clean up days to clean up. I recommend pulling some of the burned vehicles to the road and schedule a junk car recycling company to pick them up. That is if it is not too muddy. Calling the waste management or others and letting them know that the media has been called. They may even donate the dumpster. Using bobcats to move the cars and debris would help speed up the process and is very impressive for the media. Just my .02 cents

We are trying to find out, but is not FPL property or Everglades, they told me to check with Biscayne National Park and I called them and talk to David Ruiz he will have the person incharge of properties call me back.

I know very little about this property but I heard that it was owned by one of the nearby farmers. I do not know if this is correct. I would be willing to donate the use of one of my bobcats but would need the permission of the property owner to do work on the property. If I can access the burned cars without getting stuck. The bobcat would be able to move most of the vehicles near the dirt road.

IMHO: I think it would be best to leave the cars for another day. We need to clean the place first and then we can tackle the cars. As well, I dont think we have enough time and money to set the dumpsters out there for Saturday. Lets go with the original plan and pick up what we can

I am not sure what your palns are exactly for the clean up.   If you are only going to pick up trash (cans, wood, paper, bottles, etc.) than you may not need dumpsters. I just think that with all the trash out there that the dumpster would be something to use at least for future clean up days. The cars are very impressive to see leaving the area. Not to mention the extreme amount of tires out there.

Bid-Daddy> That would be great if you could arrange for free dumpsters.
