Don't think that is going to happen at all, ever. Lost in court, twice.

from what I was told the owner is going to be selling that land by croom.  Not for a track but for development.  Sad

It is an old sand pit. It is zoned for mining. I don't think they will allow him to re-zone for residential development without a massive reclamation first-- and even then, probably not ,due to the pit's close proximity to the florida aquifer. It was put up for sale awhile back, but the price was really high.

Wow that is a lot of dough for that property, especially since he had it listed for $1.4M. Are they buying it for residential development?

I used to ride that pit when the fence was down. It was pretty nice to ride in there

I spoke to the owner today and he seems like a nice guy. He does have a few other tracks, but they are private. He originally opened this one as a private track and decided to let it go public on Sundays. I haven't been there, but he ridea a quad and said it is made to be quad friendly. He said it has some of everything step ups, step downs, doubles, tables, etc. I have NOT been there yet just telling you what I was told. It's only $15 for 12-5 practice after the $20 yearly membership (which is a year from when you buy it not like other tracks only til July). He said it is kept well groomed. He said you get tons of ride time in your group. mini quads, big quads, big bikes etc. he said classes depend on what shows up. He said it has some nice stuff, but did tell me it's not for a pro rider or A class rider. He said it was for just him and friends at the start, and it's geared toward beginner to intermediate level riders. Again I have never been there just passing along the info. I for one think it's worth a look for the price. If anyone goes please post pics.

Location - Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St. (US 41) Brooksville, FL 34601

Gates open at 11:30am, practice from 12pm to 5pm

A good source of info for tracks is

If you go make sure to post some pics. The web site only has 2 pics that don't show much. If things work out I might make it there this Sunday to check it out.
