Does anyone have any comments on the different size winches available for a 2005 700 Polaris?  I will only be using it to pull my bike or someone else’s bike out and was wondering what the minimum size I should get?  (1.5, 2.5 or the 3.0).  Does the size determine the "Pulling Power"?
Thanks

That polaris weighs about 800lbs with fuel so I would recommend the 3.0

I agree with the others, I have the Warn 3.0 and love it. Just listen to it run when re-spooling the cable, you can hear it's a good quality winch. Here's a link to Rocky Mt.

I would look around for the best price, I got mine for $359 from Rocky Mt, now they went up on the price. Don't know what's with that, but the 3.0 is a great winch, it's water proof.

Not really, the 2.5 would do just fine too. We have one on our and with all the gear, cooler in one fender box, tow straps, gas, and a guy driving it comes 1000lb+. Ofcourse, we've only gotten *it* stuck 2 times. It got us out both times, besides for when the winch was completely under the mud.. that time we needed the help of a Ford diesel which idled us out of the mud. Cheesy
