The best way........ Pressure washing still leaves residue that shows up when the ATV dries.

no pressure washer cause you never know what kinda damage might be done doing that.
Simple green,,,I soak the quads all over and use a brush when needed,,,,rinse very well and then dry off,,,,,,after they are completely dry, I soak them again with WD-40.

I spray my atv before i go rideing with wd-40 makes washing up a lot easyer.
i also wash it with car soap that has wax in it, about $3.99 a bottle
makes cleaning a breez.

Do what most the utility guys do. When you're done mudding just drive it into a pond and let it soak for a while.
Personaly, I never wash mine. It will turn it into a sissy bike.

You drove by too fast, you got it all wrong. That was a tiger stripe leatard and I was only cleaning the seat to keep my panties clean

Tooth brush and tooth picks work well, and fine white linens with this soap imported from the UK, only the best will do
j/k. Best is not to let it get too dried on. Soak it down really well first, and like Ida, I like Simple Green. Stuff is so mild you can drink it. (Have never tried)
Pressure washing can get water up into the carbs and fuel system, or the air intakes, not a good thing. Might be ok for knocking off the tires and suspension, but stay away from the engine. Elbow grease is always the best. Good luck!

the best thing I have found is the cleaner that just-add-dirt.com sells. All I do is hose down the quad, spray this stuff on, let it sit a few minutes then rinse it off. Very little if any scrubbing. No film or scum is left behind nor water spots. My quad is yellow and has never seen a sponge or brush of any kind in the year that I have had it. This stuff is great and you can use it to clean your muddy clothes as well.

Spray the whole bike down with Simple Green (undiluted) and just spray it off with a hose. Once it dries spray the whole bike down with silicone spray - it won't eat any seals up and does good on all the plastics and metal.

Do a search on cleaning your quad, and you will be amazed at what comes up. Should answer any of your questions.

What? Clean? Why? It's mud! It's a free coolness attachment for any ATV.

Greased Lightning straight up in a 1 gallon sprayer
Just don't leave it on alum for more than 10 seconds.
Good to go
Afterwards spray on the Wax as you dry stuff in the red bottle, can't remember the name?

First I pressure wash all over, then Regular dishsoap and a little scrubbing, then pressure wash again, then spray entire atv down with greased lightning let it sit for a few minutes then pressure wash 1 more time, last but not least spray entire atv down with armorall it makes it a lot easier to clean next time
, I know others do it differently but this works for me!!!
