Eww, Edelbrock. Get an FCR39 off ebay and a Z400 adapter from Sparks. You will get a really big boost in power from it.

The 05-06 Z carbs are slightly bigger than the 03-04. I think the 03-04 were like 34mm now they are around 36-37mm..... But not sure on the exact sizes.

that carb would do no good on a stock to semi modded bike. it would just run rich. now when its a 440 and its got high lift lomg duration cams and bigger valves all the cool stuff then you can consider it. as for the carb you just need to find out if the outside is the same size. wich i bet it is.

03~04 have 36mm carbs 05~06 have the 37mm carb with a TPS sensor. The TPS modifies the timing curve at WOT.
The 37mm should work on the 03 but a stock 03 will not be able to take advantage of the higher flow.

Get the FCR, it's the only carb worth getting.

For $100 you'll be lucky to get a stock one. An FCR will run you about $175 ishhh off ebay, than the adapter is another $75. Make sure the FCR has a removable back section. You'll get a big boost in power.
