Me and three of my friends are coming down to ride the Big Scrub and Croom. We have been told that Lakeshore acres hotel is close to the entrance to the Big Scrub. Is this hotel half way decent Huh or a roach motel. If you have any input it would be greatly appreciated. How long does it take to get from the Big Scrub to Croom...........and is it worth the ride. Also I keep reading how people are are having atv's stolen off thier trailers, if this is true what type precautions do we need to take, less then chaining it to my ankle when I sleep. Also any other advice you can offer us to make the 12 hour drive Ocala worth our ride

well to start it should depending on traffic take about 2-2.5hrs. from big scrub to croom.I don`t know of the hotel you are asking about personally but have been told by others you pretty much have to chain it to your ancle while sleeping, heck for that matter don`t leave it unattended anywhere with-out some form of lock!, but you have @ssholes anywhere you go now day`s. on a different note croom is a fee to ride there & gets pretty crouded on weekends. Lake delancy is part of the o.n.f(Ocala national forest) that atv`s are aloud to ride at. check at the ranger or info station on the way into o.n.f they will give you all the info you need there. You will need your helmets & spark arrestors to ride the forest though. Hope this didnt discourage you just trying to help fellow riders out. GOOD LUCK & enjoy your trip ;Doh & bring these Cool Cool
