what was your first off-road related memory, i've been around 3 wheelers, dirt bikes, and quads since i was about 4, but the first memory i can recall was when i moved to where i live now, my dad took me out to this dirt construction site on his three wheeler, he let me drive and me being so young to know, popped a wheelie as soon as he gave me the oppurtunity to give it throttle.
thats my memory i can recall the best, whats yours Wink

Mine was going around a small dirt track at my old house on my go-cart. Then came the 3-wheeler and later a dirtbike. My first quad at 16 was a Blaster. After that I was hooked on atv's  Tongue

My first memory is when I got my Manco 3.5 horse lawnmower engine mini-bike for christmas when I was 6. I rode the crap out of it till I crashed really hard in the soft sand. I was scared of it for a few weeks after that. Cry

Da_Mtg_Man.....Mini Trails Rule!! Just sold the last one I had about a year ago. My kids loved em. Couldn't kill it!
I ran the wheels off everything else I had as a kid. Like 250ex, had my Dad's 60 something Simplicity garden tractor, a mini-bike w/a 3.5 hp Techumse engine, 100cc Kawi trail bike, zuki RM 370, bunch of different road bikes, atc 110, 125m (still have), 200x, 350x (still have), and my newer stuff now.

I gotta say that little Honda 50 mini-trail was one of the toughest machines I ever owned. Musta put a million miles on it when I was little.

I was 10 and we lived in Houston.  One of my mom's friends kids came down on their atv and asked if I wanted to go ride w/ them.  My second word according to my mom was motorcycle.  I had a love for them before I knew how dangerous the addiction would be.  When I got back I told my parents how much fun I had at the dinner table that night.  Dad said I was to never ride one again.

Mom pulled me aside after dinner and said it would be our little secret and that when they came next time she'd let me go ride.  That I just had to be home before my dad got home and be changed.  GO MOM!  Actually she's the one that financed my Ninja 10 yrs ago.

Well from the moment I was on their quad it started a disease that lasted the next 20 yrs.  Every year for xmas and my bday parents would ask what I wanted and I told them every year all I wanted was an atv and that I'd sign a contract that I get no more xmas or bdays for as many years necessary to make it worth while.

Never got that gift and finally bought my first quad a blaster when I was 25.  Now I'm on a ute and as soon as I can save up I want to add a sport quad again to my toy box.

Mine was riding my friends 1985 Honda TRX70 quad in a field and running out of gas and having to push it to his dad's truck when I was like 8.

I used to hang around a motorcycle shop that sold Triumph, BSA, Husquavarna (sp) and the old man used to race huskys in HAre Scrambles (he was 50 something) and he would be on the podium every time. I finally saved up enough money for a Yamaha 200CC street bike that i coverted to a dirt bike. Good times were had by all.

My first memory is going out to Macs Fish Camp off of Crome Ave. and seeing the first mud pit, and not thinking that it was really deep, went right in, and the quad sank to the handlebars in thick muck.  Took 7 guys and 3 quads to pull it out.
