I'm going to the "Extreme International Ice Racing" event at the St.Pete Times Forum in Tampa on sunday. Has anyone ever been to one of these? It looks like they race flat track type motorcycles and  ATVs. On the website it says the bikes go from 0 to 60 in three seconds and they have no brakes. Sounds pretty interesting. They had three different ticket prices and are as low as $13.00. Here are a few pics from there website. See ya there.

the quads have brakes, the quads dont run 60 maybe 45ish.  the 2 wheelers run on alky, 1 gear, no brakes, and im sure they are in the 60mph range.

The quads were better than the bikes in my opinion. There were a couple of local riders which was cool. There was some close racing especially in the turns that made for some good action. A couple of the quad riders were able to ride wheelstands on one wheel.Yes one wheel on a quad. I never seen anybody do that intentionally before. I'll definately go next year.
