Depending on what you need it for-Ford powerstroke 7.3L ONLY-stay away from the 6.0L or wait until the new redesigned 6.4L diesel.

GMC/Chevy duramax diesel have had minor problems and it's a solid truck.

If you're planning on a gas engine-Ford/Chevy both have good engines-Fords brakes still suck and will have to be replaced two/three times before one time on the GM trucks!

Yea right, Thats whay GM gave away over 1,000 new vehicles last year. Just with the Onstar Hotbutton promotion alone, they gave away 1.000 vehicles. If a company is going broke then how can they just give away product. If truth be known they just want to get away from some obligations that they have with the union. Even Ford said they are in trouble. It will never happen.

Gas- Ford 5.4, or Dodge 5.7
Diesel- Ford 7.3 or un-modded 6.0, Dodge Cummins is nice also.

Chevys are garbage, sorry. They lack in power and styling.

Diesel engine Cummins is the best IMO but Dodge cannot build a truck to save their lives

Ford 6.9/7.3 ONLY the 6.0 cannot stay together and keeps puking all over itself.  Best Truck on the market IMO

Now the sweetest ride woudl be a Ford SuperDuty with a 6.7ltr Cummins That would be   First Place  IMO

BTW, how's the GMC Duramax 6600? 650 ft-lbs of torque seems nice. lol We're going to get a K&N for our SD 6.0, will that help or make it worse, since you were saying about modding it.

And GM hates you. Go get another Honda Civic and cruise the streets with your 85 FW-HP.

The Ford 6.0 Diesel is at its MAX HP and Tq range.  When you start adding chips and stuff its not a matter of will it pop just a matter of when.

Plus the OLD slow 7.3ltr that ford had until 2003 gets better fuel economy too.
