While out on a ride today, I had the chance to speak with a Sherrif deputy.  After a little bit of talking about the "rainbow people" he said that at least they would be gone soon because their PERMIT is going to run out in a couple weeks.

Now answer me this, how is it that a group of people who want to do nothing but get together and ride some ATVs are told that they will not be issued a permit at all when a group of people that do nothing but smoke weed(yes you can smell it from 1/4 mile away) and dance naked around campfires that are set up in the middle of large trails so that noone can pass without pushing aside about 20 drugged-out-wanna-be-hippies and driving over their campfire, then steal everything in sight that isn't bolted down get a permit for their gathering?!?!?!

someone from ONF Ranger's office explain this to me, if you can.

We as a group have worked very hard to build a good relationship with the ONF Rangers, but this tears that relationship apart in my book.  

Is this wanna-be-hippie group gonna dedicate a day to go clean up the forest?  Are they spending quality time with their children?  Are they contributing to society?  Are they contributing to the economical betterment of the community?  Is this bottom-feeder group contributing thousands of tax dollars to the local economy from rental of hotel rooms, purchasing of our toys, purchasing the equipment to haul our toys and all the gear that goes with them, let alone the extra fuel it takes to haul them and operate them?

to take a phrase from my grandmother, I'm so mad I could spit.  That coming from a schoolteacher and very proper old lady was saying a lot.

answer me this.

I'm with Ida .! They close pits because WE supposedly trash them but I guess the Rainbows clean up their area real good . I know the meth labs and blotter paper clean up a little easier than our ruts, but come on . Nothing like riding around their camps to the early morning smell off poo poo and vomit . What pits did they close and did you reflect youre feelings on this matter w/ the gentleman you were speaking to. I know it may have went in one ear and out the other, but theres always a chance you may plant a seed in his head. The forest servise is probably terrified that if they dont give em what they want, that theyre just dumb enough to start fires or loot local stores. So they look at it as "Lets just give em what they want, and maybe while theyre here theyll behave and when its time to go, theyll leave in peace. Now......... We being the good minded folk thet we are and law abiding citizens (for the most part), will allow them to turn us away from our riding areas and let them shut the trails down without being any threat whatsoever. After all we all have to be at work monday morning and have bills to pay and kids to clothe and feed. We cannot afford to be put in jail for three or four days or whatever for breaking the law or going against the authorities in any way. So therefor your are damned if ya do and damned if ya dont so to speak. Now if we were the kind of people who didnt have anything to lose and just went out and burned up the place, god forbid, im guessing things would be different. Think about this, 7 mary three, 7 mary three, we have a break in at the store on 88, and 427 at the winn dixie, and looters at the salt springs camp ground and fires everywhere. 5 rainbows in custody and rounding up several others. Now that youve got them in custody, youve got to put them dirty, worthless, lolife, free loaders in the back of your cruiser, and take theyre stank a$$es downtown, im guessing that the majority of youre everyday folk arent gonna wanna be in the same campgorund with them, much less cruise all over ocala with 2 or three of them in the same car. Wouldnt be much easier to just turn your head for a few days. I guarantee it!! Its a system, its not much of one and not very well thought through, but a system none the less, and we all have to put up w/ it.

Im not one for a war, but if its warented, then BRING IT!!! Thoes tree hugging hippie ba$terds was to steal and plunder from our hard earned things? Let them!!!! Im seroius, set them up, and leave a couple out there with some hard hitting paint ball guns, and leave some stuff that someone wouldnt mind loosing, and GET IT DONE!!!!!! make them work for there supper. Hell, ill donate a tooll box with some junk tools in it just to get it started. And the good thing about paint balls, if you hit them with enough the might TAKE A BATH!! and therefor we have bettered there lives lol.

funny, when I came into town, I stopped at the gas station and remarked to the clerk that I had forgotten that it was rainbow season,,,,his reply, "yeah I know, too bad we can't shoot them" and the deputy sheriff standing on the other side of the store said "that's next year".

I was at Big Scrub when a couple of rainbows in a truck ran over a teenage couple on a 400 ex , while we were trying to help the passenger on the quad the rainbow philosopher showed NO REMORSE whatsoever .The kids were only slightly injured but it is only because the girl "passenger " took a very very lucky bounce .NO REMORSE !

We had a bike stolen at BS a while back and have had numerous things (helmets, rim and tires, tools) stlen as well. So we are in. Let us know. We can set them up good if we plane it out. Keep in mind they may be reading this. The little mother fu--ers. We should all get together and set them straight. They say they are like 200-300 of them. I think with about 100 of the right members we can handle them. Let us know.

You're not alone , we have a hippie infestation in the Big Cypress during certain times of the year.
