I am comming down from Ohio next weekend 2-4-06 and plan on doing some riding in Ocala National Forest and am going to speedweeks at Daytona. I plan on doing some camping and riding.
I have been at both places before and I like the camping better at Lake Delancy. The trails didn't seem to be as whooped out there either.
My question is,  Can you still ride your quads out of both campgrounds ?
Where are the better trails?   Scrub or Delancy?                                         It seems as though they are taking alot of your riding areas away from you guys, that's to bad, I have really enjoyed the freedom that there has been in the past.
I will have a GPS so long distances would be OK with me.

I think the trails are much more wide open for exploring at Big Scrub.  To me, Lake Delancy seemed to be blocked off by roads on the sides, and restricted areas, and even some houses.  We were there for 3 days and basically rode the same areas the whole time.  I think we may have missed a section near there, but I still think that Big Scrub has better trails.

if you don't want to camp,,,,,find a place near an opening into the woods on the side of 19 or 40 in the woods,,,,and park.

I can't stand going near the campgrounds due to the whoops.

Gotta camp because I have no other place to stay.
Are there less restricted areas at Big Scrub than there are at Lake Delancy ?

I've never had a problem with big scrub but the trails are whooped out. Not a bid deal to the youngins but if your older I heard Lake Delancy is alittle more shady Oak tree style compared to the scrub near Big scrub.

We've camped at both.  We arrived at Big Scrub the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at around 12am, and they had 1/4 of the sites blocked off for no aparent reason.  Well, we ploped on an illegal spot for the night, got up first thing, repacked everything (alot of stuff) and headed over to Lake Delancy.  It was much better there.  The rangers are there but not breathing down your backs, and you can kinda squeeze in here and there if it's packed.  There's a quad camp site, and a non, but the non has a place to keep your bikes, so that you can camp in the non quad site, but still keep your bike there and ride out.  There's like a bike rack kinda thing on the edge of the site.  The non quad and the quad sites are right by each other.  Still, I think there's more trails at Big Scrub, but I guess more whoops too.  At Lake Delancy, there's like this 3/4 mile long trail that is extremely whooped out that you have to take everytime that you're going to head out onto the trails.
