i was talking w/ one of the rangers at the front and he told me that next year they might atart to charge $100 next year, i ask why and he said 'couse now hell tate is open and you can ride w/ the same sticker there so they have to pay for that and maintaining it. and now with ocala getting smaller and if croom charges $100 you're are going to see more people at ocala, wich means more accidents some families have up to 4 bikes that's 400 dollars wow, i wonder where our money for the registrations are going. i like croom but if it goes up i'll rather drive an extra hour and ride for free. i'll leave friday night and ride all day saturday and be home saturday night . oh well some of you guys pay 6 to 7 thousand dollars and and now you have to pay to ride then too, sad. i know some of you all are thinking maybe cheap a$$, but hey some of us don't have the 50000 + jobs. oh well enough bitching from me what do u guys think

I can almost hear it now......
"Well....nobody using Croom......I guess we can shut it down."
" Ocala getting TOO crowded........need to restrict it some more."

What makes you putzs' think they can't start charging a hundred bucks at Ocala?  DUH?
I hope you people let others in-charge (GOV'T) know how you feel.......
(restraint plays a part here).
My old man said once  (maybe a couple times):
"Sometimes things happen for no reason....sometimes they happen
because we let them."

If the $100 allows access to all state and national forests, including Big Cypress, and they manage the trails, it's a bargain.

Wink best eating places over there

they are on hwy 98 and they are in eastpoint
Try papa pizza and they are nice rednecks there.

And try coastel restuant in panacea  on hwy98
the best  cheap seafood you can get and it's not
suckey food.

And try the sportmans loge
before you hit  big bridge going across into
applachcola.

It's the best  mexican restuant you can eat
and even  best breakfast there. But their mexican
food is the best and it's even better than taco bell.

But this mexcian restuant is like the one in lake city
over by rallys on hwy 90.Thats kind of taste they have in eastpoint fl.

I wouldn't mind paying 100 bucks for  a year pass if they did something to maintain the place.

I mean how hard would it grade the outside boundary near the back fence?

I ride a 450r, and it's a bit tough...I can't imagine tackling those whoops on something with a lesser suspension.

It just seems like prices are going up, but the service stays the same.

I've been hearing that they were suppose to put a track at Croom for the past 5 years now.

i agree that the riding there is terrible and it would be nice if they did maintain some trails but i feel that one of the reasons is that they don't do it is to keep the speeds down. as far as the track i think it may be because of liability issues, also, as lt250r said that someone will have to do more work. that place makes a ton of money each year, it seems to me that they could do some more things to make the riding a little more enjoyable, but maintaining trails would be a full time job because that place is ridden hard. another thing they could to is put in more camp sites, there's plenty of room to do it.

When was the last time a ranger knew what was going on? LOL!

You got that right. I camped there this weekend and we took the camper early Fri to get a spot and didn't make it back down Fri because of the weather reports. When we went Sat, my buddy needed his sticker and we told them we already nhad a site and the camper was there. 2 different rangers started to argue over what it takes to keep a site reserved. 1 said as simple as securing your atv to a tree another said they could cut the atv loose and someone else could stay there. The first made a good point that if you came in a van, were staying in the van and had to leave for the store or a restaraunt what else could you do?
