Stay away from Grissom, the Sherriff is handing out tickets. I was also approached today by a Sherriff at the end of Pine Street, he said with the constant complaints the county will be posting no parking signs at Pine Street. Also, if the guy from the big garage lot comes out and says he owns the land you can't park there, he's lying, he only owns the garage lot.
They have a fence up on the left as you go in, the reason for this is the property owners were fined by the county for leaving the debris that some Jack@-- left there.
It's only a matter of time now till the area is gone.

I saw in the paper that the sheriffs will be at Grissom and Pine St this Friday night (1-13).  I intend to be there to find out just WTF the rules are and not some persons interpretation of the rules.
I'll let you know what I find out.

its not going to be shut down as much people run off or arrested for being drunk, driving up and down the pavement and threw peoples yards.  Oh and I forgot the BIGGEST FOR THE SCUMBAGS CUTTING FENCES the officers know who has cut the fences and are watching. I will also be out there since I own property out there. Im getting updates from the main man himself when he finds out the shimmy.

JWSCROLL I will be in contact when I find out some info.

Hey Team_Quad,
Please keep me posted as well.  I live by the park at the end of Fay in PSJ and use either Pine Street or the access off Areica Palms for access to the groves.
After reading the Happenings I am really starting to get more than a little PO.  I would really like to put something together for all of the responsible riders in the area.  I know there are too many idiots out there that are spoiling it for all of us.

Any interest?

I would love to fill the field next to the Brevard Co. Government center in Viera with ATV's and the responsible people that we know exist. According to the complainers we all fall into the same class, we need to do something to show the people that don't know how many voter's their actions are affecting.

Targeting the drunks, litter-bugs, fire-bugs, fence cutters, etc is all well and good.  I applaud thier efforts.  What I do not care for is the fact that in all the years I've been back in those woods, most of the times it is the local Canavarel Groves folks that are the problem.
The other day the wife and I drove around CG and noticed that the majority of the households have ATV's or trucks for out in the woods.  MOST of the people riding ATV's on the roads are "gangs" of local kids.  Most of the idiots in the center clearing area are kids drinking beer from their parents house.  Lets call a spade a spade and not start some witch hunt.  I also know you can go to the black hole and find piles of beer cans and used rubbers all over the place.  I'm all for a good time - but come on!
It needs to be cleaned up (in more ways than one).  We have to respect others property and not be stupid about it.

Hope to see you guys out there soon.

Just a quick update.  I went to Pine Street, Arica Palm, Grissom Pkwy and Fay Lake Park after work today (1-13) and NO police.
Ran into a kid on a dirt bike at Pine Street.   Kid says he was out there since 9AM and helped an undercover police truck pull a fire truck out of the dirt.

IF I see anything - I'll let you know.

I went out this weekend to all the places I would expect to see police activity.  NONE were seen all weekend long by any of the people I ran into out in the woods or along the side of the main roads.
Who knows what is really going on...

Well I joined today because I had info to share!  I was out a Grissom near the sand pit stuff, rode for like 30min.  A few other people stopped to ride, like a family with 3 kids and stuff.  Well after about 30 min the old sherriff stopped.  Ha had driven by like 3 times while we were out there....but finally stopped.  Just told us that we cannot ride there or anywhere off Grissom or King.  Was really cool about it, but the locals said the wildlife (FWC) and "rangers" are not so cool about it.  Sherriff said they are reposting all missing signs and getting the word out right now that its NOT OK to ride there anymore.   Cursing  Just another place getting shut down!

Pine St was OK....but the clearing where we used to park is closed like someone said before.  Just have to drive back there and park.  The cops told the guy with the Big Garage (on 1-20-06) that they seem to be having too much trouble with non locals.  BS!  BUT he said they told him to park back in there and ride was OK for now so long as not Drinking on the wheelers.

Sorry So Long

grumpster whenI was in psj I seen alot of atvs in garages there also. I can name the fence cutters and they dont live in the groves. I had 2 cleans ups out there and it helped for a while but with people that come out at night and hang out at the shooting range or the black hole carrying on and drinking just throw there can or bottle on the ground thats bs.
