We have a 2003 Polaris Trail Blazer after it was about a month old it started making a loud clunking noise when you ride it we thought it was the chain guard and removed it still had the problem so we tightened the chian and then tried losseing the chain still the same sound call the dealer he told us it is supossed to make the noise.  I know it should not be making the nosie any help as to what is causing this would be great.  It only makes te noise when riding it if it is at a idle it is fine also the bike runs great just makes this clunkin claping noise thats loud.

Thanks

Does it do it at a steady speed?
how about backing up?
and does it do it more when turning?

Try lubing the chain had one do the same thing noise only when moving found there was a link that hadn't been getting lubed enough and was clunking due to no lube and it not moving properly.

On my 04 magnum it done it when I first got it. The took the back hub off and greased the splines in the rear shaft that helped. after a few times in the mud it quit.

it could be the belt. if the belt is starting to shred it will make that noise also. I would almost bet that is the problem.
