I am toying with the idea of getting an 05 Troy Lee edition Predator, but would like some feedback before investing. I have never ridden one. If anyone has experience on a DS650 and a Predator I would like to hear from you. My wife needs a quad but I want one I can ride and enjoy also. I like the fact that the 05 has rezzie shocks and reverse. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Was that the sale price or the OTD price? From what I have seen the Troy Lee stickers for around $6,400. I have no intentions of paying full price but it looks like you got a really good deal.

I just recently bought a standard 05 pred and so far iam more than impressed with the performance.  As far as the TLD ive herd complaints about the gear ratios being too close for some who like more top end pull, but on the flipside there is almost no rpm drop between 1,2,3 shifts.  If you have any specific questions about the standard pred let me know. Oh and if you want a killer deal on one buy it from Chattanooga powersports. I got mine for $5194.00 out the door. The TLD is $5514.00 out the door and its only an 8 hour drive from Orlando.

I have had my 05 Predator since October and I have been very pleased with it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a very versatile, fun to ride sport quad. (Not knocking any of the other sport quadson the market however) I have previously had Yamaha,Honda and Polaris quads with no trouble from any of them. The Predator has been my favorite of them all.

I know a good POLARIS dealer if you want a good deal!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

Wouldnt buy one unless it was the Troy Lee edition though! The standard suspension is unbelievable!
They just need to see Jenny Craig! (A little heavy)

A friend let me ride his 04 Predator once and I liked it a lot. Felt similar to my Z400. Not too big or heavy and jumps well. Has 500cc to. I feel its a good quad and the new ones have some nice graphics. The DS is a totally different machine being it is alot heavier and needs to be muscled a bit more. Of course it seems like you never need to shift the DS being the power is always just a blip away but the Pred steals the fun factor in my book Wink
