on this note, I will be giving through my office as the company has pledged to match any funds raised by employees up to $3500.

considering we only have 230 people working there, I think we might not get to that goal.  If anyone would want to donate and make it really count(as in matched funding) maybe send me the money and I will make a donation to the fund on behalf of ATVFlorida?

Mr. Bones, thoughts?

Why don't we make the  Eureka Ride II a charity ride? $20 or $25 a person, proceeds to the Red Cross?

sent out by the employee committee that I am a member of for my company this AM:

Each day on the news we are learning about more and more devastation in
areas hit by the massive Hurricane Katrina.  Most people have lost
literally everything.  Last year we were hit by 3 hurricanes and this
one out weighted all 3 combined.  The NARS Stars committee has decided
to begin a donation for the relief.  We have dubbed it "FILL THE
FISHBOWL, A RELIEF EFFORT FOR HURRICANE VICTIMS." (Since New Orleans is
filling with water like a fish bowl)  We have spoken to NARS management and
they have agreed to match employee contributions up to $3,500.
We will collect for one month, from September 1 until October 1.  All
proceeds will go to The Red Cross.  If you chose to write a check,
please make it payable to THE AMERICAN RED CROSS.  If you are able to
donate, please bring it to any employee club member.  No gesture is too
    small.

If you would like to help by bring in clothing and non perishable food items, we
are looking into places to donate these items to as well.

THANK YOU!!

A message from your NARS STARS Employee Committee:

we had a quick meeting this morning before this was sent out and I specifically mentioned ATVFlorida and was assured that if anyone would like to donate, it would be included in the company-matched funds.

Id@-
GREAT way to double the donation. Do they know the ride is 10/1 and won't be totalled until after the deadline?

What about just a collection? I know it's not as fun as a charity ride, but then maybe more people can participate than just the ones that can make the ride. And with the outrageous gas prices we could to the charity if we don't have to spend the money for gas (2 hour ride each way for me) for the trip and the quads. I'm not opposed to the great idea of a charity ride, but just thought this might be a way to maximize the amount we can give.
