Ya'll remember to keep your eyes to the sky, shuttle's going up today. You might wanna keep those guys in your prayers this morning too.
If anyone's coming to Brevard for the launch good luck, it started getting crowded yesterday.
Launch is scheduled for 3:51 p.m. depending on the weather. One good place to see the launch is Cape Canaveral beach at the end of 528, but if you're not there early forget it.

I went and saw a launch once a long time ago, there is nothing like it. You can feel the engines on your chest, 13 miles away. We sat at the main gate, was third in line. Cooked bacon and eggs after the launch while everyone else was trying to get out. When we got done eating, the entire crowd was gone. If you haven't seen it go up yet, you have to see and feel it for yourself.

My wife and I saw a night launch a few years ago from Merritt Island. So bright it was like it was daytime again for a few seconds. Awseome power! Definately worth watching. Godspeed to the astronauts today as they return the USA to space.

My mom and dad used to work for Nasa plus we lived right on the beach. One sad thing though is that my parents were working there at the time that the Challenger 7 blew up. We used to see rockets going up then of course the big daddy shuttle. I remember when that Old guy went up like 5-6 years ago we had to cancel school because of all the people that came.
