Bought my 08 ltz400 in October brand new and have thought about trading it in on something else. Should i trade it or put it back to stock and sell it locally? I know values suck on them as soon as you buy them but i did get a decent deal on it and bought the 5 year extended warranty. Figured i could offer that to the new buyer for extra money or just sell it without it and get the money back from it. It's almost paid off already but if i'm gonna take a beating on it i'll just keep it and buy the new one as well..

It's in great shape, never wrecked. It has the regular bolt ons. Pro taper fat bars,HMF Balance full pipe,jetkit,filter,nerfs,bumper,ect..

Take it in and see what they say at your local dealer. Then check ebay closed auctions to see what they are selling for. Also check local listings in craigslist, trader mags, etc. The research will give you a good idea as to what you'd get on trade or selling privately to help make your decision. But my bet is that  you're gonna take a beating if you trade or sell it. The economy is in the toilet no matter how the current administration tells us otherwise, and people are more concerned about paying their bills than buying new toys. unfortunately, resale prices  have gone through the floor just like home values.

Looking forward to change...........in 2010 and then in 2012 !
