From the Ft Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel:
"A 13-year-old ATV driver crashed in the 1600 block of Lauderdale Manor Drive about 5:20 p.m. Saturday, said police spokesman Sgt. Frank Sousa. Paramedics rushed the teen to Broward General Medical Center, where the teen was in serious condition today, he said."
This is not a rural area; this is in the 'burbs. What in the hell is the matter with people???
I take that back: Lauderdale Manor is in the city, deep in the 'hood. I thought it was further west.

Standard riding gear in the hood is a wife beater tank top, shorts that are 5 sizes too big and sandals. Of course they're going to get hurt.

the funny thing is that the father said on tv that the cops were chasing him and rammed him off the road into the tree..............
nevermind the fact that he was breaking the law and running from the cops.

yeah but in some towns it is OK to ride on the street when I work the Dolphin game you see a bunch of hoodies not only riding on the strret in front and side of the stadium but in front of cops and not 1 lets down the light switch control to do anything. because if something were to happen in would be a racial act by the police. but if they do catch them and the bike ends up being stolen then that is more paperwork too lol

It's always better when there's only one side of the story.
