You will be disappointed. You will have less than 1/5 of riding areas compared to what you had in Oregon. The people are for the most part great, and the riding areas we have are sandy, dusty, muddy, and flat. But we still have a good time.

Dude, are you kidding me?
Riding in Fl stinks. Yes, we make the best of it, but it does really stink. How are the people? Well, everything south of Palm Beach sucks. The schools, well, they suck too. The weather, it's ok if you like to sweat. I've been here 20 years now and every day I wish I never made the move. Just my opinion, but if you have any sort of brain at all, you'll probably agree once you spend some time here.

What part of FL are you moving to? The terrain and amount of areas there is to ride depends on where in the state you go.

I moved here 11 years ago from the midwest and live south of Palm Beach in Homestead and I love it here. The riding areas in south FL are almost nonexistant but if you get to know other riders, there are some places available and we always have a good time in the mud.

Welcome to the site!!! As Bones mentioned there is a well detailed page titled where to ride that gives a good outline of what is available here in the state.

Be smart and dont move to florida. The job market sucks. The housing market is 2nd worst in the country and all of our riding areas are slowly being taken away from us. Go anywhere but florida and maybee california. Good luck to you!!!

Well I see some people who do not know how good they have it here compared to other places. I moved here from Long Island N.Y. and everywhere up there is illigal to ride. you have to pay about 1000 a year to be a member of a track to ride somewhere legally or risk getting the bike impounded everytime you ride. So compared to where I came fom I love it down here for riding and racing.

i don't understand how some people can hate it here as much as they say and still stay here something is keeping them here. i know if i hated it here as much as some of you say i would LEAVE.
and sorry to the person who started this post for all garbage and posts that don't answer your question, but there isn't a lot of places to ride here. (depending on where you live)

Well I suggest checking out the Florida Motoplex then. Its located in Madison. The owner Paul is a really nice guy and I have a great time every trip I make to the plex. More info can be had here.

They don't call us flatlanders for nothing...I am from Connecticut and think this place rocks compared to where I came from...Panhandle is cool for riding especially that georgia is only 30 miles away

the panhandle of florida is a different story than the rest of the state. not only do you have a new facility down the road (motoplex), you're also much closer than most of us to some great out of state riding in Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolina and Virginias
