I want to upgrade from Windows Movie Maker. Is there anything free that is better? Or would I have to pay for a better software?

I've heard about a program called Vegas, is that any good?

I've been using Vegas since 2000. It's very easy to get used to. You can produce very complicated stuff too. Version 8 comes with DVD architect, which is a authoring program. I'ts work looking into.
