Miami MX is "up for grabs" RFP process to begin within a few months.

The Miami Parks & Recreation department is within a few months from announcing a "request for proposals" bid process in order to find a permanent vendor to operate the MX track at Milton E. Thompson park presently run as Miami MX.
I am interested in hearing the opinion from Miami's local riders and parents on this subject. There is a lot "riding" on this process.
The winner of this contract will have a huge and lasting effect on the future of the sport in the County as this is the only legal place to ride in Miami.
Here's a few topics for discussion:
1- What do you think about the track and how is your experience with the present operator?
2- Who would you like to see involved in this process?
3- What do you expect from the winner of this "bid" process?
4- What should be the main criteria for choosing the vendor?
5- Do you know the right person for this job, are you willing to get involved?
This is a serious poll and I urge you to respond. The opinions in this thread will be printed and made available to County officials when the proposal process begins.
If you ride in Dade County, WE NEED YOUR VOICE HEARD!

I did ride there about 8 months ago and I really didnt like it. It needs some more variety, I'm tired of hitting table tops.

Hopefully, someone will take over soon and make the needed changes. If you need info about the process let me know.Your not the only one unhappy with the current conditions. Even though its better now than before when Pete Scalzo ran it, but then again that dont say much. I would love to hear more opinions!!!!!
