Took my Kawi out this past weekend, and it ran fine on the dirt road, but as soon as i got into water and put it under a load, it was not getting FULL power.. It kept wanting to bogg out, i would hit the throttle and it did not want to respond..

The previous owner snorkeled the bike, but i do not think they did it right.. Especially since the pipes are just screwed together, no PVC glue or anything...

Only thing i have done on the bike is an oil change when i first got it..

Could anyone help me out, as to where to start..

Should i remove the snorkels and put the stock parts back in ?

Also anyone know of a ATV shop i can take it to and have the bike checked out.. Maybe a service done on it..

I am located in North Miami 33161..

I called MAM ATV, down off US1 and SW28th but they only sell parts, no service..

Thanks,
Tony

It will lose power if the exhaust goes under water as well. All bikes do. Does it shut off once in the water or just lose a little power? I would make sure the jetting is right first if you want to keep the snorkels. If you dont want to mess with that then just put the stock snorkel back on.

It does not shut off, it just seems to lose power..

When i am on a dirt road, it seems to hesitate a bit, but then gets up and HAULS butt..

I would like to keep the snorkels if they will not affect the way the bike runs..

If it will make the bike run the way it is supposed to, i will change out to the stock parts, and leave the snorkel pipes coming out, just for looks..

I also need to do a tune up on it, plug, air filter and maybe have the carbs cleaned.. Not sure if the carb is gunking up..
