sup dudes, i just bought this bike 1 month ago, its a kawasaki praire 300 4x4 , yr 2000 with only 1200 miles used for hunting only at a price of 2500$ I think it was a steal if u ask me. I will sooner or later get another one that has more power but for now it does what i want it to do except for katwalkin in the water Sad just dont seem to have the power i want to get those front tires up in the air unless any of you know a few add on things i can do to get that extra get up and go. I still need to snorkel the back half of it for the exhaust in the drive belt box and one more to something i dont know what is for. After its snorkeled complete then i have another issue with the bike shutting off when water gets to the headlights it stalls and if i pull the quad back a few feet back out of the deepest point it will fire right up. Sounds like a spark issue to me but not sure. Anyone know why it would just shut off in deeper water when i know for a fact that the motor is not suckin up water?

i can waterwheelie my 86 recon on 25'' tires so i dont know what the prob could be put 1 foot on the back rack and one on the foot brake [dont press on it unless you need to stop] then when the water gets about 24'' deep lean over the front handle bars punch the throttle and pull back at the same time

I tried that , both feet on the back rack and pullin up and also trying to get it up when coming out of a hole. It pops up but not all the way Sad This bike u can not take out of 4x4 , its constant, i will be gettin a kit to make it able to get in and out of 4wd. Mybe i dont have enough ass to kick it up lol.

Also my quad has 25 11 10 dunlop tires on it and i want an inch or 2 bigger. 25 is how tall it is and i think the 11 is the rim and the 10 is the width right?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh??
I have a low budget of money and i really want some nice grip mud tires that is very cheap, as cheap as they come. Does anyone know where i can find dirt cheap tires?HuhHuhHuhHuh?? Roll Eyes

you snorkeled it,,,,,what exactly did you snorkel?

if it was just the airbox then you have more work to do,,,,,find the carb. vents and run them up to the level of the snorkel, see if there are any vents for the transfer cases, or any breather lines for the transmission,,,anything and run them up as well.

I'm definitely no expert on this and I'm sure someone will chime in, but them carb. vents will kill it like you describe.

I know i need to snorkel 2 more coming out the back and i will try that stuff on the spark plug boot. Do you think the coil should somehow be sealed also? Undecided

Put some 26" Outlaw's on it with a 2" lift and it'll go anywhere you need to go.
