well that sucks its broke for sure time to pull the engine and split the cases to replace the broken shift forks and inspect for gear damage

Go to www.predatorowners.com. Those guys know how to fix it. I had an 05' Pred, it was a great machine. Good luck.

turns out it was basically the whole tranny that went bad

I don't believe that at all but I guess it could happen I would request your old parts returned so you can see the damage for yourself. I can see maybe a fork and a gear or two but not everything we have a few guys in the dealership the think that every time you need everything that way you know its fixed I was trained to repair and replace only what's needed not just well you need it all

just my .02 don't want to start any problems
