my banshee is running on only 1 cylinder..any suggestions? i just changed plugs to see if it would help but it didnt..i'm thinking maybe carb issues? and i know for a fact that the right carb (wich is the side that the cylinder isnt working) the needle on it is slightly bent but we fit it back in the guide hole and it hasnt been an issue at all..so any ideas?

clean them both good,  check your choke tube, float level...  swap your needles to see if the problem swaps cyl's

are u sure ur running on only one??
are u sure that the right one isnt just working and is broken?

my bike was acting the same way. i kept telling myself it was the carbs , but no. i opened it up , piston is cracked  messed up the cylinder too , so now upgrade/rebuild time.

id open it up if i were you. just to be sure.
how many hours on ur motor?what mods? jetting?

ok its stock but has vf3 reeds and boost bottle and k&n filter and branett clutch..
compression was 120 a week before the motor had the problem
i was riding and in 4th 5th and 6th it was boggin horrible and even the motor shut off in 6th gear..
i took it home and found that it was only running on the left cylinder because the right cylinder has no air blowing out the exhaust but instead a light vaccumm sucktion..we cleaned/swapped carbs also and nothing happened..one of the needles is slighty crooked so we swtched them to see and still had the problem..it has perfect spark as well..i was thinking maybe reeds on that side? but i really don't know about reeds..i have not opened the motor though..and there is no smoke coming out of the working cylinder and there are no odd noises..anything else you could think of? and i did check gas problems and there are none..

basically just look @ them and make sure theyre in one piece. no weird tears or holes anywhere.

id deff. open it up.

and if no smoke is coming from the GOOD side , ur leaning it out , which means u might have leaned out ur left cylinder and blown it.

I would be willing to bet you have a blown reed on that cylinder.. Pull the carb off that cylinder and check the reeds..

Not trying to be a ass but jaun you had a banshee now for like three months that run great for us for almost two years.you get it from us and start screwing with the jets and stuff you have no Idea what your doing and lean it out, melt your piston then try to act like it was our fault now your an expert and are giving other people advise.you crack me up.Not trying to be a azz but you blew up a good bike messing with stuff you dont understand.

BIGWAKE--If you need help on the banshee get in touch with Papa tribal, cutngrs, dyno don, smokenbanshee these guys know a banshee from top to bottom and they all build fast bikes. They will all help you any way you need it.Or banshee boy tony farrow .

thanks guys.. tomorrow i am going to take a look at the reeds and if they look fine then i'll check the piston/cylinder on that side..and the good side exhaust does smoke minimully as it should when first started..and i only run 40:1 any way with low smoke oil..so i doubt that I burned the piston..i'll update tomorrow when i do more checking

ya you can buy the pedels at any dealer pretty cheap.

And miami450R the banshee was running fine when we had it and it run fine when we got it back from troy and if you would have been mixing your gas and oil right and not changing all the jets back and forth it would still be running now.and you did try to tell me that it was messed up when you traded us which was sh*t.it would outrun your 450r all day long .the only reason we traded it my wife didn't like mixing oil to ride it and it was her quad.when you asked me questions I told you to talk to troy that he was one of the best around and you should have listened to what he suggested instead of trying stuff on your own.thats why it's blown up now.but I dont care it's your quad now.good luck.

Not bad for an old man.  Definetly listen to Papa Tribal, Tribal Banshee, Cutngrs, Dynodon, because these guys know their stuff.  I would recommend you keep a set of reeds handy, because they can fail at anytime, and you won't run without them being right.  Got to give Papa Tribal props, diagnosed the problem right away.  He been hanging out with Bansheeboy Tony Farrow too much.
