The US attorney’s office and the FBI this week charged a California couple with shining a laser into the cockpit of a sheriff’s department helicopter, a federal criminal complaint that could land them in jail for up to 20 years and earn them a $250,000 fine.

Dont forget the child molesters, they usually get out in 3-5 unless they are in the New England states then the liberal judges just give them probation.

The time may not fit the crime but that is serious schnit. I have had a laser pointed at me and it WAS mounted on a hand gun. Its not a good feeling. I feel bad for the couple in general. You can not fix stupid.

They'll get a federal jury trial and go free. After all, they're in California. Juries in California are notoriously easy. I mean, they let OJ and Michael Jackson go free.
