Ortona Sand Drags 2/26/05

I just spoke to Roger today about a sand drag event and he said it wll be the last Saturday of Feb. which is the 26th. It will be double eliminations. He is supposed to get me a flier so I can post it here, so it will have more details on the classes.

I wont go there again unless they have made some changes. That was a long drive to pay $10 PER RUN. Either get a real tree like they have in Ga. and bracket race or run classes and run it like they do at Salts.

Im not a big fan of the ole traffic light system.Does not seem very consistant when you can leave on the light by 3 bike lenths ahead of the other guy and not red light.Count me out

Last time the track was 200ft. Is it really double eliminations? Last time the way it was run for $20 you made 2 passes, your best time was the one that counted. Then based on those times is how they placed you. Not enough seat time for me.

They extended the track for sand drags and made it double eliminations just cause of that reason of not enough seat time. The track is long enough, just have to move lights out another 100 feet.  They used to run 300 feet way back but the trucks couldn't have enough room to stop, so they made it 200 feet for mud drags.

I dont make the rules.  Im just posting them so we can get some racers down here for some competition, thats all.  Im not in charge of the race just posting it for them thats all.
