I did make the heats it was the main that it went kaput. After another tear down the problem was the same as last time...torn o-ring on the same head stud . Problem seems to be fixed now, dumped the Noss head for another brand. That is the second leaky Noss head I have had. Just sign up for the money race Garyboy...come get some sucka .

Grin For anyone that missed the race on Sat, you missed a good one the track was prepared perfectly with excellent traction and smooth all night, yes it was cold but not too bad. Good job to Brady and his entire staff for getting the program started on time and keeping it moving. We were fininshed with the mains by 9:15. No major crashes and the racing was close in most classes.

Thanks Shawn. You and Kurt Brady were flyin'! You guys were backin' it in just past the flagstand, steel shoe sparkin' and everything!
The race for 3rd between your dad, Mike Lee on his KTM and Pat on his Honda was awesome to watch. All 3 were wheel to wheel for the whole race.

Here are the race results:

PEE WEE
1st- Merrit Webb (quad)
1st- Jourien Malpica (bike)
These guys ran together, and I don't think either one really cared. Little Merrit is simply amazing on her little 50.

YOUTH QUAD
1st- #92 Jon Cabana, Yamaha Blaster
2nd- #7 Austin Akers, Honda 400EX
3rd- #1 Joey Green, Honda 400EX
Jon Cabana decimated the Youth class this week on his Blaster. Austin and Joey gave it their all, but just had no answer for Jon's nasty little 2 stroke. I would like to give some props to Austins brother Scotty Akers. He comes out, races every race and gives it his all. He's getting noticeably better and faster every race. Good job kid, keep it up.

NOVICE QUAD
1st- #3 Jeff Green, Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #4 Dare Rambo, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #2 Zach Jacobson, Yamaha YFZ450
If you've never seen these three go at it, then all I can say is WOW. They run hard, fast, and close for the ENTIRE night. None of them give an inch. These kids are intense and it is amazing to watch.

KNOBBY QUAD
1st- #78 James Vogen, Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #10 Richard Vinson, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #17 Tad Deloch, Yamaha YFZ450
James switched over to knobbies and gave some Palatka guys a proper whoopin'. Richard and Tad did a great job for their first time out. They showed up to practice on Sunday, so next time things may end up a little different...

WOMEN QUAD
1st- #72 Lisa Cabana, Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #1 Lauren Melo, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #3 Christy Green, Yamaha YFZ450
Another class with two riders who absolutley go at it every time they race. Lisa was just a little too fast for Lauren this time around. I would like to give a special mention to Shannon Toney who at the last race had a nasty get-off and left in an ambulance when she got mixed up with a cone in turn 1. She came right back out and raced this week and did a great job. Keep it up girl, you get better every race.

3 WHEELER
1st- #3 Walter Lewis, Honda 350X
2nd- #22 Billy Golightly, Honda 250R
Ahhhhh, what can I say about the 3 wheelers.... The 4 stroke was just too much for the 'ol R this time around. I wish there were more of them. I enjoy watching them race.

VET QUAD
1st- #71 Rick Dugan, Yamaha Raptor
2nd- #2 Tony Jacobson, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #16 Brady Windsor, Polaris Predator
We knew this was going to be a great race as Rick and Tony are very close in the points and both are very aggresive. These guys didn't disappoint. Tony won the first heat and Rick won the second. The main was anybodies race with Rick and Tony swapping the lead SEVERAL times. Rick came up with the win, but Tony made him earn it. Excellent, clean racing by this class all night.

OPEN QUAD & INTERMEDIATE QUAD (combined class)
1st- #7 Bud Chancey, Honda 400EX
2nd- #6 Travis Edwards, Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #78 Matt Vogel, Yamaha YFZ450
Yeah....that's right... a 400EX won the Open class. Mechanical problems took out Buds 450, so he hopped on Austin Akers 400EX from the Youth class to finish the night. Travis waxed him in the second heat, but after a little setup change on the 400, Bud was ready for the main. Bud got the holeshot and never looked back. I don't think anyone would have thought that 400EX would run that fast. In Travis's defense, his Yamaha had some traction problems, because we all know when he hooks up, it's bye bye for him. Matt finished out 3rd on his first race back after a nasty get off in the spring.

OPEN BIKE
1st- #72 Shawn Mcnary, Yamaha YZF450
2nd- #54 Kurt Brady, Yamaha YZF450
3rd- #85 Pat Galley, Honda CRF450
Supermoto guy Shawn and Flat Track guy Kurt battled ALL night on them Yamahas. These guys are
S-M-O-O-T-H.... 3rd place rider Pat deserves an "atta boy" as well. For the ENTIRE main he was in an intense three way battle for 3rd with Shawns dad Gary and Mike Lee on his KTM. It was some awesome racing to watch.

AM BIKE
1st- #32 Palmer Lynch
2nd- #1 Kirt Lynch
3rd- #11 Kyle Lynch
All three spots in this class were won by a father and two sons. How cool is that? Two of them were on KTM's, and one on a GASGAS 250. A very cool bike indeed.

GADGET SPRINT
1st- #8 Sonny Neuman
2nd- #88 Joe Patterson
3rd- #29 Jeff Reirdon
The 'ol Gadget cars seem to have been plaugued by mechanical problems this week. They got most of it sorted out and put on a pretty good race.

MICRO SPRINT
1st- #07 Bethany Jordan
Bethany ran with the Gadgets. Her car ran poorly most of the night, but once they got it running good, she absolutley waxed everyone on the track. This girl is an amazing driver.

The weather was nice, the turnout was good, the track was great, the racing was smooth & trouble free with no accidents, plus we were done racing at 9:15. What more can you ask for?
Thanks to everyone who came out. See ya at the next one.
