We Took our 2 kids 8 & 10 years old to the ATV Training Course on 10/6 We Wanted Them To Have The Training Before Riding ONF (They Are Beginners) The Instructors Were Very Professional and Put On A Good Course,I Know My Kids Came Away With More Knowledge Of Safe Operation Of Their ATV"S Plus We Wanted To Get Them The Course Before It Is Mandatory 7/2008 As I Am Sure There Will Be a Rush To Get Kids Training When It Is Mandatory, Many Thanks To The Instructors as Well As To Grizzly Bear of The Forum

My son is 11.   What size ATV did your 10 year old have to test on?  My son rides a 250 but I have a friend with a 110 he could borrow to take the course.

How long did the course last?

The ATV Safety Institute Requires The Instructors to follow their guidelines,Under 12 less than 70cc Mine took the course on my 8 year old Sons 50,The !0 year old will be riding a 80 but had to take the course on a 50, The course lasted 2 to 2 1/2 hours, You may want to sign your kid up soon as I think once pepole find out that it will be mandatory for kids in July there is going to be a mad rush to get the kids training/certificates

When I feel athletic, I go to a sports bar.

It's nuts. My grandson is 12, built like a line backer ride a 250cc. A 50cc won't move much with him on it and his knees will be in his face.

Then again maybe that's what we need: Get all the big ass kids in big class all on 50cc machine. Maybe some one will notice there is a problem with there guide lines.

I know their size limits are way off,The instructors have no choice but to abide by their size limits, My Daughter has moved up to a KFX 80 my son will move up to it by next year and she will be going to something larger as well.
