my dog has all of a sudden stopped using one of his back legs..he avoids it..and it shakes..we cant take him to a vet tonight..but we will in the morning..he stays inside all day..so i dont know what could have happened to him..he does have tumors all over his body..we think that may be the culprit..i wondered if its safe to give a dog motrin/tylonel..to relieve the pain? thanx

The first thing you do is change his name to "TRIPOD"

And NO you can definitely not give a dog motrin.

You can give him buffered asprin, though.

you can give them benadryl, i know that for a fact as when my dog had an issue with her ears, we had to give her 4 because of her weight and she was out for a couple of hours, i'm not sure on how much to give your dog but i know the vet perscribed giving her benadryl

ya our vet told us to treat our dog like a kid.if you would give it to your kid then it would be ok for your dog but only give them kids doses .we give our asprin and cough medicine if needed.

i know you said he staid inside but look real good for a tick... same thing happened to my dog with his leg and my grandmother (of all people) told me to look for a tick... i found one in about an hour he was walking better... i don't know why or how but don't question grandma anymore LOL
