Hey guys, for some reason the cooling fan on my Kymco mxu is not turning on when it is supposed to go on. I have no idea what this could be.
and also when on the trails the bike heats up very fast, I have to turn it off and wait about 10 minutes and it works fine again,
What could this be?,advice plz.

I'm not familiar with Kymco, but most cooling fans work off of ground. Find the wire that plugs into the fan switch. There sould be some kind of fan switch some where in the cooling system. Most likely it will be in the theromostat housing or the bottom of the radiator.
Once you find it takr the wire and ground it to the frame. Make sure it is a good ground where there is bare metal, not on the paint. Turn on the key and the fan should come on. If not I would think the motor is bad.
If it does come on then you need to test the switch. You can do that with a test light. Also when you ground the fan and it doesn't you can make sure it works off of ground with the prcedure to test the switch.
Get a test light and clip it to the positive on the battery. Then start the quad and let it heat up. Put the other end of the test light on the terminal on the fan switch. Once it heats up to the point where the fan should turn on it will ground the switch and the test light should light up.
Good Luck
