Has anyone been on that trail lately? If so, have they changed it in any way? Is it longer, shorter, any jumps??

I was on it about two months ago.  They extended the trail.  There was a short loop that was 5 or 6 miles long, and there is an extended trail that's quite a bit longer...i want to say 13 miles?

Yeah but no wide quads for those trails, you get stuck inbetween the trees.  There's alot of stumps and roots all over.

Personally I didn't like the trail.  It's slow, hot and sticky with no wind, like Toomey said - narrow - a stock sport quad will just fit through the trail in places rubbing tires on trees on both sides.  I'm always worried about a stump or rock in an a-arm in spots where there's nowhere to go around.  You make any error while going fast, and you're in a tree or ditch.

Might be good for the bike guys?  Maybe after a few more times around I'll start liking it?  Anybody else here like the woods trail?

Come on you guys...

I personally LOVE that trail...I would go as far to say it is one of the best places to practice XC...it is almost a 3 hour drive for us and it is worth every bit of it.

The trail is rough, rocky, and tight but that is what makes you a better rider...the harder you practice the faster you get.

I would understand if you were a casual trail rider (which is ok) that it may not be as fun for you...but as a racer it is a challenge...most courses here is Florida do not have as much variety.

Jusy my $.02

RG47, let me ask this.  Would you like it better if there were fewer stumps and rocks?

My concern is the cost of damaging my a-arms and tires.  I haven't given up on the trail though.  The two times I rode it, I was with new riders that had only been on a machine a couple times before, and it was ungodly hot, and we were just puttering along.  One of these days when its cool I'm going out there with a few more seasoned riders and try it again.

By the way RG47, I met Carlos from Image Racing at the track one time.  Seemed like a real nice guy.

I agree, there's only one trail and it's too narrow with lots of stumps and sharp rocks. However, I think it would be some fun at night.

If you guys are talking about Seminole (Big Cypress) I'll have to agree with Jennifer, is a nice challenge to go on this trail, and it show your skills, we race on those woods not long a go, and it was hard but I enjoy a lot, now if we raced here, and didn't have that many quad stocked on the woods I don't see why are you guys to brake your quads if you'll be just riding .
It is a nice ride, just my opinion !!!

I have never bent anything on the Seminole trail...but I understand your concern  Wink It is no fun having to fix your quad...I know how that is!! Roll Eyes

Hey...since you haven't given up on Seminole...maybe I will see ya out there sometime over the summer...I plan on spending lots of time there preparing for the 05-06 FTR and GNCC series  Grin

So I guess it is the same with no new jumps or difference in lengths. IMO I think the trail is one the best ways to stay in shape for riding. Personally, I like it and friends with extended Arms and axles do like as well. The stumps and rocks can be cleaned up a bit but that is what riding is about.
