2001 raptor 660

at what temp should the fan kick on at?
and how long should it go ?
i  just installed a new thermo switch and thermostat due to the temp light going off when going at very slow speeds,I dont think the fan  got a signal to turn on( but the motor works)never saw or heard the fan  go on.

now after the new parts the fan will kick on about 190 PLUS degrees.
also if i turn off the key switch off should the fan continue to run till cool down or also turn off.
just want to make sure the problem is solved.

Under normal riding conditions your fan shouldnt come on. If your running high rpms and not moving fast like sitting and cranking donuts with moving enough air through the radiatior then it will come on. I dont know the exact temp the fan comes on. When you turn it off when its hot with the kill switch the fan will stay on. If you turn the key off it turns off.

Hows your 01 tranny?  You need to check out www.raptorforum.com for awsome raptor info. Also www.raptortranny.com
