Here are the race results and top 3 finishers from each class in the Thunderbowl Speedway Extreme Dirts Series, Round 1.

Intermediate Quad
1st- #32 Bud Chancey- Honda 250R
2nd- #12 Wayne Palmer- Yamaha YFZ450
3rd- #78 Johnathan Cabana- Yamaha YFZ450
This was THE race of the night. Wayne won the first heat, and Bud won the second heat, so we knew the feature was going to be good. Wayne and Bud raced their a$$es off, bumper to bumper all 15 laps. Definately an excellent race!

Novice Quad
1st- #1 Zach Jacobson- Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #3 Jeff Green- Honda 250R
3rd- #4 Dare Rambo- Yamaha YFZ450
Another great race. This class is always good, because they all run strong so you never know who's going to win.

Vet Quad
1st- #1 Tony Jacobson- Yamaha YFZ450
2nd- #71 Rick Dugan- Yamaha Raptor
3rd- #16 Brady Windsor- Yamaha YFZ 450
This was a good race. This class is growing and the racing is getting better. Tony did great for his first time racing, and Rick ran really strong as well.

Youth Quad
1st- #1 Joey Green- Honda 400EX
2nd- #21 Justin Palmer- Suzuki Z400
3rd- #7 Austin Akers- Honda 400EX
This class is always a blast to watch because these kids are always giving it their all. It is worth mentioning that #18 Carleigh Haas battled through the field to finally take first place for her first win, only to spin out in turn 4 on the last lap. Sad

Ladies Quad
1st- #78 Lisa Cabana- Yamaha YFZ450
She raced in the Vet class and came in fourth overall. She can definately hold her own.

Pro Bike
1st- #38z- Stewart Barber
2nd- #27c- Greg Boyle
3rd- #17- Allen Weinberg
Great race. Stewart is one fast fella.

Am Bike
1st- #23 John Simes
2nd- #7c Scott Sheffield (wow, another Scott Sheffield?)
3rd- #16 Ben Czarniack

Micro Sprint
1st- #0 Brian Robinson
2nd- #88 Dave VanRaalte
3rd- #9 Rick Goss

The track was not the best due to rain. Both straightaways and turns 3 and 4 were beautiful, turns 1 and 2 were pretty rough. The track received 9.5 inches of rain on Thursday night in about 3 hours, so there were some pretty bad washouts that we couldn't get all the way out. The guys with good suspension got to use it! However, we had no accidents or injuries all night, which is always good.

Thanks to everyone for coming. See ya on the 17th.

Thumbs Up  Definately a BIG thumbs up to Carleigh #18 in the youth, she had it and that race was hers.  Knew she could do it, she showed those boys she can run with 'em.  Even though she spun out on the last lap, in my eyes she won that race!!  I was so glad to see 5 quads out there finally!

I agree with Brady,  the Intm. was THE best race of the night.  Bud and Wayne were flying around that track, what an awesome race!  Oh yeah, the vet class was pretty good too with Tony J. winning and he hasn't raced a quad in years!

Great job to everybody and to Brady for getting the track put back together after all that rain, can't believe 9.5 inches!!!!
