I am looking to get my 400ex, frame painted. I am either going to use pj1 frame paint, or get it powder coated. I have already pulled the engine to do some work to it, and I dont have much left attached to the frame, so it will be ready for paint soon. How much is powder coating? Anyone know of somewhere good to get it done? Anyone used PJ1 frame paint? If so how did it look and hold up?

Im pretty sure Mike and Melissa @ ATP do PowerCoating. If they do, I would take it there.
Other than them, theres American Powder coating on Bearrs AVE in Tampa, its runs about 250-300 for PC base color and then PC clear on top (frame only) and about 2-3 days turn around. So its not so cheap. I think Dynodon and Cutngrs have a place they use in Ocala.

I paid $250 to get my frame and sub frame done.

Hoosier Daddy, 2-3 days if lightning fast. Mine took 2 1/2 weeks

yikes 2 weeks!! What I meant by frame was the whole frame, not including A arms or the swinger...
We have had 5-6 frames done there and they always take just a few days, as a matter of fact we took a frame, dropped it off, about 30 min later that called and said they finished blasting it and they found a small crack and wanted to know what i wanted to do...

That's amazing. I wish we had a good place around WPB. Especially for chrome. The only chrome plater around here sucks!
