Keep in mind, I live near Fort Lauderdale, so there are no dirt roads. In fact, this time of day it's pretty busy, we are even talking about putting speed bumps in our neighborhood. :banghead.gifMy point....
I look out my front window, I see this kid, can't be any older than say 7 or 8, riding a 50 or 90 4-wheeler, no helmet, can hardly control it, one hand up in the air, up and down the side walk. Then he proceeds into the street, never once looks, mind you this is on a corner, where cars come flying by. So my son and I walk outside, to see what the hell is going on. About that time the kid almost hits the neighbor's fence. I look down the street, there is his (I assume) dad, talking to some guy and not even paying attention to this kid.
Well, as I proceed to walk down there, they get the kid and go down to the other street. If I didn't have my son with me, I would of told this guy what an a$$hole he was for letting his kid ride on these streets. Never saw the guy before, so I don't know if he is a new neighbor or this is just his way of taking his kid for a walk.
What an idot.... This kid had no business even being on a 4-wheeler, let alone on a street and w/o a helmet. You should of seen this kid, throwing his hands up in the air and yelling as he is riding around. No respect for the machine he is on. Unfortunately, this kid will more than likely be another statistic against 4-wheelers. It's not the kids, it's not the machine - it's the parents without a brain!!!!
