I just read an article on msnbc and was wondering if it applied to anyone on here since there are so many members of this site.

Article title: Marines to issue Involuntary call-ups.
Up to 2500 Marines will be called back for active duty in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

A friend of mine said he will go AWOL (not sure about spelling) before he goes back to Iraq. He already did 2 tours and said it has changed him forever being on the front line.

I feel sorry for those poor guys.

It makes no sense to send them back.

Iraq is a mess...the Shiite vs. Sunni situation is undeterminable by U.S. Troops.

It's no longer about a real or imagined threat of terror over there.

My heart goes out to them.

That would be the correct acronym, however it is still wrong. If your friend truly is a United States Marine he may not want to go but he will because it's his duty, unless he's a poser.
