My family will be in the Atlanta area over Memorial Day weekend, on our way to Coal Creek, does anyone know of a place where we can ride?  We have tickets to go to the Braves game on Monday but would like to ride Sat. and Sunday.

Durhamtown for sure! Some of the greatest riding in the area just take I-20 East to exit 138 and turn left then left again at dead end, go a short ways (approx 1/4mile) and turn right on HWY 77 bewtween two gas stations. You will see a little bridge you have to go under. Take HWY 77 for about 1/2 mile and turn right on HWY 44. Follow that for about 5-6miles and turn left on Randolph Church(you will start seeing Blue Arrows and a Durhamtown sign. Durhamtown will then be 1.5 miles down that road.

I know first hand how much Durhamtown rocks!  That is where my family got started riding.  We haven't been to Broadriver yet but are planning on stopping there on our way back from Coal Creek.  Is there anywhere in North GA?  It doesn't matter if it is a couple of hours from Hotlanta.  We are so siked about going on our first vacation with our own ATV's.  I wish we would have done it sooner.  If anyone is going to Coal Creek let me know maybe we can hook up.  We will be there from June 30- May 6.  Then we are booked at Broadriver until the 10th.

There's several legal OHV riding areas in N. GA.. They're all listed with directions on DP's website.

Zoomer-
Three of use we be at Coal Creek over the Memorial Weekend as well. We are planing to leave sometime Friday and get to Coal Creek sometime Saturday for hopefully a 1/2 day of riding and will leave Wedneday. We are staying at local motel in Oliver Springs. This is our first time there so we don't know the trail or area except for the info on the Windrock or Coal Creek websites.  Grin

Cool video!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait1  He had video of Coal Creek and Broad River.  We are check in on Tuesday at Helton's Campgroung.  We have a Hillbilly Condo with our name on it.  I don't know if we will get to ride on Tuesday or not.  We will be there for a week before we hit Broad River.  We ave never been there so I just hope we don't get lost.  I am thinking about getting GPS any suggestion that won't break the bank?  hOPE TO SEE YOU ON THE TRAIL Grin

OMG!!!! I went to Croom, for the first time, to test out our ATV's before we leave for vacation.  I didn't realize how many humps, bumps or whatever they are called out there.  This morning I realized that I am not 30 anymore.  I was fun but could someone please fill in some of those bumps for the older riders.
