ILUV my Tahoe. I've invested over $12,000. dollars in performance parts and custom work pimping it out. Now I'm thinking about selling it because my gas bill is well over $400. dollars a month.
America is a free country...just not when it comes to _UCKING GAS !!
Everyone thought the war on drugs was bad...wait till people start doing crime to pay for an even worse addiction; GAS !!

(I just, had a idea pop into my head today)
I think they should do a worldwide gas station, airport shutdown
on fridays starting at 12PM untill midnight, and think about it
how bad oil companys will lose alot money.I think they should do that here in
united states.
I hope alot people print flyers to send our message out there all over across usa and past them out to every gas station, airport.
I hope somebody create a web site on it and send out to media.
Well try talk to truck drivers on cb radios on ch 19 that
might help you find out if there was rally protest planning going on
up in washtion dc..

This is an email I got, sounds like a solid plan to me.
LETS TAKE CONTROL OF GAS PRICES!!!!
Body: This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day"
campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies
just laughed at
that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by
refusing
to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a
problem for
them.
BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can
really
work. Please read on and join with us! By now you're probably thinking
gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently
$2.79 for
regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC
nations
have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP
at $1.50
- $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS
control
the
marketplace..... not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more
each
day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to
see the
price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not
purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.
How? Since we all
rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an
impact
on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.
Here's the idea:
For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two
biggest
companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not
selling any
gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce
their
prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon
and
Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out at
this point....
keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of
people.
I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us sends it to at
least ten
more (30 x 10 =3D 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least ten more
(300 x
10 =3D 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth
group of
people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If those
three
million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30
million
people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you
guessed it.....
THREE
>>>>HUNDRED MILLION >>>>PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.
How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to
ten
more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could
conceivably
be contacted within the next 8 days!!!
I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you?
Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you,
please
pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL
THEY
LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.50 RANGE AT LEAST, AND KEEP THEM THERE.
THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

OK, I have to add something here,,,,the price of fuel has gone up by about $.25 a gallon to trigger the latest "let's get the rich oil companies" campaign.
what does this mean,,,,let me tell you what it means to me and maybe someone can make a comparison......
I drive a "gas guzzling" 5.4L V-8 powered pickup truck, and even with my heavy foot it gets me about 18mpg on the highway which is most of my daily commute of a little over 100 miles.
This means I am using about 5.5 gallons of gas a day,,,for argument's sake let's round it to 6 gallons a day. This brings my fuel cost before the latest hike to about $16.50 per day,,,,and after the hike to $18.00.
for those without a half of a finger to count that,,,,it means $1.50 more per day I am paying for fuel.
This is someone who commutes over 100 miles per day,,,,I'm sure that there are many out there that don't commute even half of what I do, and some who drive more, but this is my story.
Where could you gain back your $1.50 per day?
==I know I paid $1.89 for a coke at Pizza Hutt for lunch a couple days ago,,,,that's one way.
==Half a pack of cigarettes(whatever they cost now)
==Next time you have a small load of clothes to dry,,,,hang 'em up instead of turning on the dryer,,,one load of laundry is about $1.25 or so depending on what you pay for electricity.

Not buying oil for 1 or 2 days will not work. All that will cause is the oil companies to lose money for that day or two and when your tank gets empty on day 3, they will have raised prices .50cents a gallon and there will be lines at all the pumps because they all skipped buying gas for a couple days. now you cause the oil companies to make an extra 5million that week instead of losing. We as consumers can not change the prices UNLESS you drastically change your lifestyle and stop using gas completely. The gov't can help us by forcing OPEC to drop prices or drill in our own country and make our own oil.

in his mind using our troops as like battle chess game on battlefield.I think we should went after bin ladan when that wtc happen back in 01 and we still haven't cought that idiot since he ran away into another country.
I'll be glad in 2008 when bush leaves white house and i hope we get better,
presdent then beside bush..
Well i think, if gas prices keep getting higher in next coming months

don't stop soon if hurts work companies can't efford to ran their vehicles then they start b**ch to washtion .
Sorry guys out there, i was trying explained what i think
