Last 2 stroke i had was a ATC 250 r which was stepped up to a 300 w/pipe carb, and some polishing done.
Amazing mid range to top end on it. it sucked in the trails though ran hot and fouled plugs when going slow.
My $.02 , sport bikes i prefer 2 strokes and ute bikes must be 4 stroke pretty obvious.

how about a 3 stroke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
those 3 strokes are the hotest thing on the market! i am trading my 06 yfz for one!!!!
2 strokes are faster but who in there right mind wants to rebuild them every 6 months!!
4 stroke all the way!!!!
All them 4 strokes riders must be proud of your answer to that question.

Young Skywalker, OB1 has taught you well but still have a lot to learn. The Darkside is stronger and more reliable than you think. Oh and it's reliability.
But I have a 1 stroke which fires on the down and up stroke. I have a spark plug in the bottom end and top end. It pullz mad hard yo! It also pullz da beyotches too.
