I have a question... looking to buy a used trailer. if i am paying cash is the seller going to give me a bill of sale? do anyone know how this process should work? or should i just get a new one?Huh

If the seller has the trailer paid for, he sould have a title for it, just like a car, and sign it over to you. Than you take the title to the tag office and you will have to pay a tax on the price you paid for the trailer, and transfer it over to your name.

Thanks for the info. If the person does not have the title and it's paid for is that a bad thing. should i then look else were...

ive bought 2 trailers without titles. just tell the people its home made. seems like they will ask the weight rating and number of axles. no problem getting tag.

The safest way is to go to a certified scale prior to going to the tag office, get it weighed and take it with you
