have you seen the technology where they can aim a piercing sound directly at someone to deter them?  It's similar to this technology. I believe they tried to use it in riots and situations like that..but for some reason it hasn't caught on yet. 
I'm happy with the tasers. I'll take one of them.

They experimented with this and other crowd dispersing methods in Kosovso, but they had one on top of a Humvee. Looked like a big satellite dish.
