Our Vacation in NC
«

July 13, 2005, 11:43:58 AM »
We had an awesome time, did not ride near as much as we would have liked but we had a mission to find property
This is the cabin we stayed in for 4 nights
It was on the Little Tennessee River.
A inside view
The next few photos are of my brothers property that he is developing (40 acres of Mountain)
Getting one of the wells put in
View
Putting gravel down getting ready for Hurricane Chris
My old bike, I think it is very happy in the mountains
On a ride at a friend's mountain
Fishing the Lt'l Tennessee
Low clouds when Hurr Chris came by
Staying at my brothers cabin and can ride from there
OK now this is what we found and BOUGHT!!! well we still have to close on it yet.
A fixer-upper on 10.44 acres
Front yard
4 creeks with waterfalls
It comes with a Jeepster comando (I think, we are buying as-is)
View from behind house
and it comes with a still and about 100 mason jars
Views....can't wait to see it in the winter
trails and woods etc. We hiked the boundary to find the survey markers and it took 4 hours
When you drive to the top of the mountain there is a 360 view and 34,000 acres of US Forest lands with the Appalachian Trail going by.
Here is a map of the area

Congratulations on your new place. It reminds me a lot of where we rode in Virginia this summer. Beautiful mountains, I bet the fall colors are a site to see.

Thanks for the nice comments
If anyone is interested in the area check out:
http://www.franklinnc.com/
and
http://www.maconnc.org/
Also my realtor is Danielle Serjan (828) 349-4700 of Unique Properties of Franklin,
http://www.uniquepropertiesofnc.com/
she is from Miami and has lived in Frankin for 5 years. She is a great person and hope to continue a friendship with her.
She went beyond on this deal and have noticed that most of the people up there will do the same.
Also Strangers go out of there way to say Hi

I know! Don't you just hate it when you try to be friendly and say "hello" to someone and they look at you like you just busted their gut?

Yup, My zip code is Franklin but the township is called Burningtown there are just homes, farms, and churches, 12 miles north of the city limits, and the county is Macon.

Franklin is a great area. Have a couple friends in that area. Keep up with the pics. You know, Larry Csonka and some of the old Dolphins started a property developement up that way. I think they called it Csonka Estates.
