I've noticed most of the people on this site try to do the right thing and stay off the pavement. ATVs, pavement, and drag racing don't mix. Do the sport a favor and keep it in the dirt.

drag racing is very popular whether in the dirt or on the pavement. there is an organization set up for that type of racing. Please feel free to check the ATV Drag Racing Association's website ( http://www.atvdra.cc/) for further details or contact them at (901) 359-4658.

I wasn't aware of organized pavement drag racing, only dirt. It surprised me because the owner's manual for my 05 Grizzly, page 2-1, reads: "Always avoid operating an ATV on any paved surfaces, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and streets." I know mine would need a wheelie bar.......Thanks for the info, now I know where to direct riders I encounter.

The Deland Airport also hosts ATV/Motorcycle drag races... I am not sure what the actual event name is... most of you know know of it by the name N_____ Nationals Rumor has it that this event may be stopped due to excess gambling, lol... at least thats what the Deland Newspaper said last week.

My brother built a Raptor for drag racing. It's sick how fast it goes. Motor was custom-made from the ground up with a turbo. It's 150+ horsepower. A friend of mine was suppose to race it since the guy who owned it wouldn't dare get on it. I'll try to find the pics of it and post them.
