I just thought of this and wanted to make it very clear prior to tomorrow's event or any SDTA event in the future, Pee-Wee's and Mini Quads are the only machines allowed on the track with knobbies.

There will NOT be Knobbie quad or Motorcycle class. They create too much damage to the racing surface.

Flat Track tires only for all adult classes!!!

Please make sure you call before you haul, phone #'s are listed on the bottom of the flyer.

Were will be a good place to buy flat track tires for quads. I notice you guys are running Hoosiers and American Racers. All I can find in the catalogs are Maxxis Razors flat track tires. Are they any good. I run the Razor knobbies for hare-scramble riding, just don't know if the flat track tires are as good.
I am wanting to try somthing different, bored with MX and hare-srcambles. Flat track looks and sounds like fun.
            Any Info. would be great

I almost forgot, I also have a really fast pit bike (drz143) that I would like to convert into a flat tracker. Do they make a 12" flat track motorcycle tires. I have supermoto tires, just don't think they will work. Not enough tread
                                    Thanks

Welcome to the site..........

Thunderbowl in Ocala has a great clay track set up for TT and Flat track racing.  If you have been been to a TT race it is a mix of Flat track and MX.  Do not expect to see big jumps like MX though, just small rollers.  There are lots of turns though and it makes for a lot of fun.  I just made a post about the new management for the Thunderbowl, take a look and give RJ (the new manager) a call if you questions about the track, feel free to ask as many questions as you would like there are many on here with lots of  TT/Flat Track knowledge.

I ordered several of my tires from Ronniesmailorder.com. Good prices and service with quick shipping, Hoosiers and American Racers.  Ask around on the forum too, someone might have a good used set they'll sell you.

What type of quad do you have? I have a complete set up for a Yamaha YFZ450 including wheels lowering kit and sway bar.

If newbie is not interested in them, Then I am. I need to see what type of hours I can pull in at the shop this week first $$$.  I have extra rims, just need tires to go with them. I'll let you know before Fri. and then maybe you could bring them to Jasper if possible. I'll give the new guy a chance first.
                                       Thanks

Cool, Thanks. As long as the weather stays good, I think its going to be a great weekend of racing. I know we have 5 quads locked in for sure, combined classes but it will still be fun. Can not wait to get back out there.
