To the person who found my wallet at the parking area on sw 46 st probably by a black 4 door Colorado. Thanks for mailing back my wallet but I see that u kept the $200 finder fee. The handwriting on the envelope looks like it is from a girl. If so u want to go out some time. I would mail u back but u didnt leave a return address. It can be our treat seeing as it was my money and u now have it.

You accuse her of stealing the money after she returned your wallet? Did you ever stop to consider that she found it empty? I'm glad you're no police detective.

I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. Dont u see the sarcasm? I as her out to dinner, lunch, or where ever she wanted to go. I could even talk her 4 wheeling. This is all on the tought that the person actually is a girl. It was a joke. The person who sent the wallet back could of just thrown the wallet away. Would u go out of ur way and mail a wallet back without keeping at least some money? I wouldnt and it is my wallet i am talking about

That sucks, I left my wallet on a McDonalds counter one time (I know, I am fat and don't need McDonalds ) but less than 10 minutes later I went back and the wallet was already "found" in the parking lot minus the couple of hundred bucks but at least all my credit cards and ID were still there, but it still sucked.

most people that find a wallet and take the cash arent cerdit card frauders (if thats a word). theyre just people that caught a lucky break and got some extra cash. theres a difference in taking money laying around and using someones credit card. maybe losing money will teach people to be responsible. you could go to jail if youre caught with someones credit card, you cant if you find a wallet with cash. no one can prove that someone in particular took the money.

Maybe I'm the crazy one but I would have sent the wallet back with the money if it was in it when I found it. If you're going to be a stand up person than go all the way. Taking the money out before sending it makes you a dirt bag. If it were mine and someone sent it back to me with the money in it I would have given them half of it anyway. Karma.

I found $748 wrapped around a liquor list on the floor at Sears during the Christmas Season years back. Went to the counter and asked the people to page me if someone came asking. I refused to leave the money there or tell them the amount. About 20 minutes later they paged me and I went back to find a young girl in serious stress. She had been sent to get the liquor for the company party and lost it. She told me the amount and all. I told her she should be more careful and handed it to her. My kids would have loved the extra gifts, but I would have known how dishonestly I came by them. What goes around, comes around.
